Ok...where shall I start... Walking round the arenas - we eventually ended up at the Red Bull area ( ofcourse !) - this was after watching DC's friend Alain McNish on the Autosport main stage - where he ended up playing on a PS2 style race game with a kid...Ermm the kid won !!! (

Anyhow...walking over and Christian Horner was standing there...so took the opportunity to talk to him....I started off by telling him he had the best driver driving for him in the team and to make sure they kept hold of him ....I said that his driving passion and his will to get the car to the best it could be was no nearer leaving him as it was the day he started.... Then I said that I was part of the DCM site ( Hope that was ok Wendy , Mr X and Mark LOL) hmm well as I ended up staying a lot longer at the show than planned ( nearly didnt go - felt so lousy even going - turned round to come back twice - but David was there so I HAD to be ) and asked him what was going on with the cooling problems at Silverstone AND Jerez...said we had the forum on here and looking at the test times from Jerez ...we were what can I say apart from WORRIED !! He smiled and said the problem isnt as bad as its been made out to be and not to take too much notice of the testing times...that didnt relate to anything.... I went up then to see Robert Doornbos....he said that he was erally looking forward to his time at Red Bull and that the car IS fast... - He also said that Davids really taken him in and is looking after him ..Robert calls him 'uncle David' !!! And as I had been spending a bit of time out in Holland just recently - he decided to test me I guess on my Dutch hahah guess what - you know why we call it Double Dutch .....still didnt understand a word till I caught up with him later and it was explained..

By this time I had already talked to Christian again and was told that David was doing another extra signing - at the Red Bull area...Hmm sadly by the time that came around - I think most of the arena knew... but hey since when does that stop me... By now I had txt Wendy and bless her ..she phoned me back - with something that were needed for the museum and as I was there with camera ofcourse... to get some more extra shots for the museum... Wendy then asked me to ask him a few things...( Oh boy was I meant to suffer that at the end of the day ..LOL) SO between Red Bull, PR and me quickly writing a note to David which he WAS given ( bless em !) we got a time arranged for me to do the things I needed todo and a VERY quick photo session with him ( if only I knew HOW quick it had to be )

David by this time - 2.00pm was appearing on the Autosport show.. I WILL admit I missed the first part of this - couldnt be there AND at Red Bull aswell - but to give you an idea of his thoughts and his mood at that time - I will let you know what was said ( well what I can anyhow - haha if this is a family site !!)

He explained ( hmm maybe he was listening to what I had been saying to Christian a few hours earlier) that hes still as passionate about his driving today as he was the day he started... He also said when asked, that in all his years of driving - it still feels like he drove his first GP yesterday - after the death of Senna..
He was upbeat about Adrian moving to Red Bull...said he had always been one of the best designers...and was glad to have him onboard .

When asked about Ferrari engines instead of Red Bull....he had to have a 'what can I say ' smile on his face.... He said it was Red Bulls decision to leave Cosworth and go to F*****i for the engines... WHY ??? he was unsure ...said he had only had ONE engine failure last season and that was Spa....and Cosworth had a very good engine they were working on...BUT he said Cosworth dont have the funds to keep putting more and more into an engine - you can tweak here and there - but no major changes - whereas F*****i do have that..they also think they have one of the biggest fuel tanks on the car - when asked with the lesser engine size...less HP etc....although he did say that they would still hit the same speeds as before...but it will just take them longer....he also described the car more like a hyped up F3 car - which isnt how we want to think of our F1...

He was then talked to about Fernando and Kimi ( ERMM WARNING CONTENT HERE LOL) the interviewer said to him ' Did he acknowledge that Kimi and Fernando were the up and coming men on the track? ( OH GAWD !!) David got that look on his face and replied - Up and coming WHAT?? he said Hmmm I would like to think I was a guy that was still capable of 'up and coming ' ( OK I THINK you can guess where this is going LOL) we all started to laugh.....Interviewer moved his seat back and David said ..well I am - and then said god Im blushing here - everyone was stil laughing and David by this point was SOOOO red !!!

He was then asked by someone why did he leave Mclaren - a little wry look on his face again and he said - didnt have much choice really - I was sacked...he went on to say another couple of things and then said - mind you 9 years I was there - it was the longest standing driver at a team for quite some time - and come to think of that about the longest realtionship Ive managed to have in ANY aspect of my life ( obviously referring to his recent split from Simone)..

A young girl asked him how old was he ....( Awww) - he replied that he was 34 ( and 3/4) and said about his b'day 27th March...when they asked the little girl how old she THOUGHT he was - haha she said 50 !!!! David laughed and he said Ahh yes I remember being about your age - even someone 19 looked 'old ' then - he said just you wait till you are 19 - THEN you will think Im 34 !!! - then made some referrance about making sure he didnt have his beard as that is grey ( no beard yesterday by the way)

Humour was great !!! BUT he was only running about 5 mins late at that point !!!

Later then he was at the Red Bull stand....for only about 20 mins tops - but firstly he had to be at the F1 racing stand.... not many people there - I think they were all in the queue waiting for him at Red Bull which was next to the F1 racing stand hahaa..
I managed then to grab my first few words with David... I said he was going to get a message from his PR - and I passed on a quick message from Wendy - but he stopped signing for a mo and said he knew and it was fine...so I arranged to meet him at 5.00pm where he had some TV stuff to do then I could have his time !... Talk about putting a smile on my face... I got him to sign a Red Bull cap for me - which Christian and Robert also signed.... and left him to get on with things..

Show itself was not too bad....very tiring ...but still had over an hour to pass before meeting up with David...

Got back there for 5.00pm...no David.... I was told by REd Bull he was running a little late... 5.30 -STILL no David... but I was sat virtually at the bottom on the stairs waiting for him ( yeap THAT sad folks hahaha) 5.45 came STILL no David... Hmmmm 5.50 he turned up surrounded by bodyguards/security !! I was told to follow him upstairs WOOHOOO !!! ( ladies that was an offer I COULDNT refuse !!) I was sat talking to the PR while David was doing an interview... went to stand up to go over to him...THEN we were told he had a 1 minute thing to do for Iceland TV ( I could hear part of what he was saying - ...lets just say that his humour by this time HAD gone - and he was sounding probably as p'd off as I was sitting waiting for him for nearly an hour....) that finished and I went to go over to him again .. OK PROBLEMS !!!!!! my camera had played up all day and JUST as I needed it... battery dead-( not bad as it had only just been on full charge!) so I went off again to the chair to sort it out.....got cover off it - sorted out battery THEN couldnt get the damn cover back on - so I looked over to where David was to see if he was ready for me now ( hmm by now it was just turned 5.55 - and David had to be OUT by 6.00 ! ) YEAP but no David was gone !! he wasnt there...so I spun my seat round in a panic - camera basically ermmm you know what !!! and David gone - hahaah THEN I found him - ermmm standing about 2 inches from me - !!!! he had come over to me and was waiting for me aww!!! Camera still no good... I carried on telling him the one part of the message from Wendy - which she knows the reply to ... and then he asked where do you want me !!! - OHHH COME ON !!!!! Im invited upstairs with him - he asks where I want him and my camera is ermmmmm( yeap that word again !!) he stood in a couple of places and then he suggested that light might be better downstairs ( DAMN !!!) hmm thankgod I had my little digital with me although THAT was down on power also by now!! so we walked back downstairs again...me DC and the bodyguards, security LOL shame there was no press about LOL would of made a piccie and a half that !! So a tired...running an hour late by now David with me following up and downstairs - I thought ok NOW I will ask the questions ! ( YEAP lousy timing eh )
Wendys first question to him was ......( after I had to let him know that she was really excited and looking forward to the musuem opening - which he was pleased about !

Whens he coming home ?? He answered that he has no plans to return back to Twynholm at present.... there just isnt time..

Wendys next question ...... What had he been up to these days?? ( Ok this is the question where I wanted the ground to open up on !)
He stood there and looked at me....said ermmmm... nothing different..nothing much ....just driving f****** round and round in circles on circuits!!!!! Ahhh yeap ok... I had to laugh.... piccies taken -( apologies for the quality Wendy- Im normally as calm as hell when Im around him - but tiredness - upstairs...downstairs...where did I want him and broken cameras JUST sort of took off the calmness and brought out sheer panic LOL and my camera did the best as it could considering by now bodyguards are waiting to pounce cos he REALLY shouldnt of been there by now ..

Oh Wendy - did say one more thing... I said I hoped she liked the pics ok...and said I hope he had a good New Year - I said I know Wendy did - she was going out with Lyndsay and lets just say she was quiet for a few days - NOW to that he did manage a smile - I smiled and said Thanks David - have a good evening and walked !!!

OK Im ermm knackered again now - got about 40 pics to scan from yesterday - Wendy has the DC ones...so I know when she gets a moment - Wendy - if you want a couple of the ; photo shoot ' ones lightening up let me know ( dont blame me he picked the place for the pics to be taken - I was trying to get him to stand by the Red Bull logo !!! - oh well - men...you just cant tell them can ya !!!
